A sealed room in the subbasement of the Bureau of Communication Standards. The room has been locked since 1962, but radio equipment inside continues to broadcast. The transmissions are not in any known language. They are, according to three separate analysts who were subsequently reassigned, "coming from very far above and very far inside at the same time." The room smells of recycled air and cosmic dust.
