Two origin myths dominate Chronhaven’s lore. The first, espoused by the Joy Auditors, claims the city emerged from a pact between humans and the ‘Clockwork Ephemera’—beings who wove time from celestial threads. The Sundial Hospice’s crumbling murals depict this moment, though [ILLEGIBLE] sections obscure the Ephemera’s faces. The second, favored by Debt Poets like Kael Orris, asserts Chronhaven was built atop a ‘temporal wound,’ its foundations laid to stanch the bleeding of time itself. Evidence for this lies in the Pendulum Workshop’s basement, where a fissure in the floor hums with discordant chrono-frequencies. Mira Solm, ever the skeptic, notes both accounts share one detail: the presence of a child, barefoot and silent, who vanished when the first hour was counted.
