The Pendulum Workshop
A leaning tower of salvaged clockwork, its rusted iron skeleton visible through cracked plaster facades. The ground floor hums with the rhythmic ticking of pendulum prototypes, while upper floors creak under the weight of suspended bronze spheres. Smells of molten wax and oxidized copper cling to the spiral staircase, where craftsmen adjust escapements by candlelight. What unsettles: the building sways perceptibly in wind, yet all its clocks keep perfect time.
