A long tunnel of beds behind a curtain of oilcloth, the only place in the Warrens with a gas pipe, and Dr Kell keeps the lamps on it turned down to a glimmer, because his patients cannot bear more. Here the Dimness is treated, the sickness of those who have lived too long without light, and the spore fever from the Sporocarp. The walls glow green where the fungus has come back faster than it could be scraped.
