lamplighter · female
Lamplighter of the Upper Galleries, the youngest the Board has ever sworn in. Quick, cheeky, impossible to embarrass, and she climbs as if the stone sky had handholds put there for her. She lights three hundred lamps a tide and knows the name behind every one. She meets every ferry at the Mouth, because the newcomers' lamp is on her round, and she is the one who asks them the question first. She likes the ones who answer badly.
