diver · female
Diver of the Fleet and keeper of the station under the Last Lamp. Laconic, unhurried, afraid of nothing she has met so far and polite to everything she has not. She speaks in short sentences and hums long tunes; under water she hums so the men on the pump can hear she is alive. She caps and uncaps the seeps on the bed of the Sound, by hand, in the dark, by touch.
From the simulation The Gaslit Reach.
